First Do No Evil...

"It is better to do nothing
Than to do what is wrong.
For whatever you do, you do to
yourself"
                               -The Buddha

Just another little quote from "Dhammapada, The Sayings of the Buddha" that I found intriguing, especially given that it so closely resembles the traditional adage, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you".

Karma speaks up here, taking its place among these lines. Whatever goes around, comes around baby.

The best bet is to consciously practice being a good person. Make thoughtful decisions that not only include what you want and need, but allow for a healthy dose of what your counterparts deserve.

Bad behavior has an uncanny habit of biting back, and the aftershocks have a tendency to be slow to evaporate.

Therefore, when faced with a dilemma that sets you on a cliff overlooking chaos, it's best to sit tight until the storm passes.

Because in the end, along with everyone else that's hurt in the wake of deliberately doing the wrong thing, the culprit winds up drowning in the mess of his/her own making...
